Spandau Ballet Continues Comeback With First American TV Performance Since 1985

Spandau Ballet, if the British New Wave act doesn't ring a bell, sang "True," that smash single from 1983. Still don't remember, or are we on the same page? Well, the recently reunited five-piece brought their classic track on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Monday night, in their first American television performance since a visit to Soul Train in 1985. Spandau Ballet reunited in 2009 and released 2009's Once More, a collection of mostly older songs redone. It was the band's first release since 1989. On Kimmel, they still sounded as '80s as possible, but they're clearly having fun. (Did you catch lead singer Tony Hadley cracking up a little at the 2:49 mark?) The Story – the Very Best of Spandau Ballet hit stores in October, but the group also said in August that they're working on new material for 2015.
