Scottish hip-hop group Young Fathers have beat out Damon Albarn, Anna Calvi, FKA Twigs and others for this year's Mercury Prize for the best British or Irish record of the last 12 months.

Who Got Nominated For the 2014 Mercury Prize?

The trio's 2014 record, Dead -- which was celebrated with the award -- is their debut LP, following two early mix tapes. It was released on Anticon and Big Dada in February.

Young fathers follow James Blake and Alt-J, who won the award in 2013 and 2012, respectively.
