Sleater-Kinney, 2005.

Nine years since Sleater-Kinney released The Woods, the Northwest trio unexpectedly released its first new song in nine years on a blank 7-inch vinyl single included in their new vinyl anthology, Start Together. The track is called "Bury Our Friends" and now has been ripped and uploaded online, days before the box set's Oct. 21 release date, for all the web to hear.

The song sheds The Woods' classic rock influences for three-minutes of straightforward indie punk, laced up with subtle harmonies and a pretty solid chorus.
