Kanye West Shops Alone
Kanye West took the idea of private showroom shopping to an extreme during Paris Fashion Week. An informed source says the rapper checked out designer lines while in the City of Light, but insisted that he spend time with the fashions completely alone -- and furnished his own music as the soundtrack to his solitary experience. A spokesman for West's label, Def Jam, did not respond to requests for comment.

Ne-Yo & Juicy J's New Video Extols the Pole
There are arena anthems, garage anthems and, if Ne-Yo and Juicy J have their way, a new stripper anthem. The duo worked with a casting crew to audition more than 50 pole dancers for the just-released video for their track “She Knows." "Ne-Yo and Juicy J want to create an anthem for strip clubs. They both really admire pole dancers and consider it an art form," says a source close to the project. "They want to pay homage to women." Winners of the audition include Nicole "The Pole" Williams, who's featured in Rihanna's "Pour It Up" video, and Russian aerial gymnast Polina "Pink Puma" Volchek. During the course of a single day, the production team lugged custom-made stripper poles to five locations, including a convenience store and a library.

Aloe Blacc: White Knight
Interscope artist and self-described activist Aloe Blacc walks it like he talks it. At the Oct. 2 Creative Visions Foundation gala at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel in Santa Monica, Calif., he donated $15,000 to the cause, which works to ignite social change through the arts.

Daryl's Hall-oween
Daryl Hall expects to open his new club in Pawling, N.Y., on Halloween with a concert by ... Hall & Oates. Daryl's House Club will function as the new venue for his Live From Daryl's House TV series. Cable network Palladia will debut a new season in March.

Tove Lo Spices Up Her Release Party
Near the end of Tove Lo's release bash for Queen of the Clouds at Baby's All Right in Brooklyn, the artist and alt-pop duo MS MR jumped onstage to lead an impromptu dance party to Spice Girls tracks while eating blue and pink cotton candy.

Crosby, Stills, Nash & Granddaughter
Just before folk-rock supergroup Crosby, Stills & Nash performed "Our House" at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles on Oct. 3, Graham Nash brought his 2-year old granddaughter, Stellar Joy, onstage. She sat on his knee while he played piano and clapped along with the audience.

Bambaataa’s Big Contribution
Former Jurassic 5 and Ozomatli member Cut Chemist and his frequent collborator DJ Shadow paid tribute to Afrika Bambaataa at the Hollywood Palladium on Oct. 3. The duo DJ'd an entire set there using a record collection that belonged to the hip-hop legend, and, during the performance, they talked about the influence that Bambaataa had on the history of hip-hop and their careers.
