Italian singer-songwriter Ligabue performs on stage at Royal Albert Hall on May 25, 2012 in London, England.

Italian superstar Ligabue will embark on the first U.S. tour of his 25-year career with a performance Oct. 19 at Terminal 5 in New York.

The tour is to promote his 10th studio album, Mondovisione, which was No. 1 on Italy’s albums chart for nine weeks in 2013 and this year. It was the top-selling album in Italy last year.

Ligabue will perform Oct. 22 at the Whisky a Go Go in Los Angeles, Oct. 24 in San Francisco at the DNA Lounge and Oct. 26 at Miami's Grand Central.

Riservarossa and F&P Group are promoting the concerts with Francesco Del Maro from Hit Week as co-promoter. Hit Week is an annual celebration of Italian music in the United States that features concerts in New York, L.A. and Miami.

Ligabue participated in the celebrated Pavarotti and Friends concert in Modena, 2005's Live 8 concert in Rome, 2012's Italia Loves Emilia benefit concert for relief in the earthquake-struck region and 2014's Sanremo Festival. He set an attendance record in 2005 when 165,264 people attended a show at Campovolo in Reggio Emilia.
