British Rockers Young Guns Premiere Video For Arena-Worthy ‘I Want Out’

American rock fans should have Young Guns on their radars. Not to be confused with the Philly-based hip-hop duo Young Gunz (this is Guns with an “s,” mind you) Young Guns are already a main stage festival act in the U.K. rock scene, looking to expand their influence in the States.

And their pummeling new song “I Want Out” is a step in that direction. Below Billboard presents an exclusive premiere of its dramatic new music video, directed by Drew Cox.

“I Want Out” previews the band’s forthcoming third album, a so-far untitled effort due out in early 2015 via Wind-Up. It was recorded in Bath, England with producer Steve Osborne (U2, Joy Division) and mixed by Damian Taylor (Arcade Fire, Bjork).

“With this being the video for our first new song, we wanted to have some fun and shoot something a little different and trippy and slightly unconventional for a rock video,” lead singer Gustav Wood says. “The director, Drew Cox, was totally on board and we had a lot of fun using projections and playing with video screens. It's got a great energy to it and we're really stoked with the results.”

The song also caught the ear of BBC Radio 1 superstar Zane Lowe, who recently played the track in the “Hottest Record In The World” spot on his very popular show.

And if you’re looking for more exciting alternative rock premieres, today is your day. Billboard also just premiered a new song from Young Guns’ Wind-Up labelmates the Griswolds, titled “16 Years.”
