Can ice water thaw famously strained relationships? The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge seems like it might be first step in some kind of reunion between Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora.

Let's back up: Bon Jovi completed the challenge Aug. 16 and challenged Bon Jovi keyboardist David Bryan, drummer Tico Torres, and Sambora. Sambora has not performed with the band since April 2013, and relations since then have been strained.

Perhaps now a corner has been turned: Sambora accepted Bon Jovi's challenge with his own video (although he didn't acknowledge Jon in his video).

The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge shows no sign of slowing down -- just check out your own Facebook feed! -- so only time will tell how many more celebs may use the charity challenge as a chance to reach out to someone (and get some publicity in the process).

Just look at Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin
