Celine Dion is canceling her upcoming fall tour of Asia and her Las Vegas residency at Caesars Palace until further notice. Via press release, Dion announced her career is essentially on hold as she focuses on her ailing husband's health.

"Celine Dion has decided to postpone all of her show business activities indefinitely, in order to focus 100% of her attention on her husband Rene, their family, and associated health issues," the statement says.

Dion's husband and manager, Rene Angelil, underwent surgery in December of 2013 to remove a cancerous tumor. "I want to devote every ounce of my strength and energy to my husband's healing, and to do so, it's important for me to dedicate this time to him and to our children," Dion said via the press release. "I also want to apologize to all my fans everywhere, for inconveniencing them, and I thank them so much for their love and support."

Last year, the Canadian superstar extended her residency in Las Vegas through 2019, but an inflammation of her throat muscles has prevented her from performing since July 29. The statement also reveals "she has still not recovered from this condition."
