'Now 51' Aiming for No. 1 on Billboard 200 Chart

Now That's What I Call Music 51

The latest offering in the long-running Now That’s What I Call Music! compilation series, Now 51, is heading for the top of the Billboard 200 chart.

Industry forecasters suggest the set — which was released on Aug. 5 — may sell around 100,000 copies in the week ending Aug. 10.

The Billboard 200's new top 10 will be revealed on Wednesday, Aug. 13.

If Now 51 hits No. 1, it will mark the 19th chart-topper for the Now series. Most recently, Now 50 bowed in the penthouse, selling 153,000 in its first frame, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

Other albums on course for high debuts on next week’s chart include Godsmack’s 1000 HP with maybe 50,000, Spoon’s They Want My Soul with perhaps 40,000 and The VampsSomebody To You EP with about 20,000.
