Rascal Flatts perform at LP Field on Thursday, June 5 during the 2014 CMA Music Festival in downtown Nashville.

Rascal Flatts announced today that due to illness with lead singer Gary LeVox, three upcoming shows on the band's current tour are canceled. The affected shows are Thursday, August 7 at the Idaho Center Amphitheater, Friday, August 8 at the Northern Quest Casino & Resort in Wash., and Saturday, August 9, at the Rocking’ River Music Festival in Mission, BC, CAN.

"It is incredibly difficult to make the decision to cancel shows and disappoint our loyal fans who have been so good to us over the years," Rascal Flatts bassist Jay DeMarcus said in a statement. "The schedule of shows this past weekend, coupled with media days in New York City, have left him without a voice. We promise to return as soon as we can and give our fans the best show possible!”

A release instructs ticketholders to contact their venue for refund information.
