A Perfect Circle Unveils New Song, 'By & Down,' for Summer Tour

Congratulations are in order for Maynard James Keenan, the frontman for Tool, A Perfect Circle and Puscifer, who announced on Tuesday the birth of his daughter.

The musician and his wife welcomed the arrival of their baby girl, Lei Li Agostina Maria, on July 25. Keenan announced the birth on Puscifer’s Instagram page, noting that his new daughter weighed seven pounds and measured 19 inches at birth.

Keenan also has an 18-year-old son named Devo, who sang back-up vocals on A Perfect Circle’s second album, Thirteenth Step, in 2003. Devo  performed at his father’s 50th birthday party in Los Angeles earlier this year, according to Blabbermouth.

Meanwhile, there’s still no official word on when Tool might release a new album. The rock band’s last set came in 2006 with 10,000 Days, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Tool guitarist Adam Jones and drummer Danny Carey explained that the delay primarily stems from a “multi-level” lawsuit that’s draining their creative progress.
