In a prank gone wrong, Allen, who had been touring Down Under, asked officers who were escorting her through the airport to slap on a pair of cuffs while she posed on her knees for a photograph. After the image appeared on Instagram, the singer was confronted by police upon her arrival at Sunday’s Splendour in the Grass festival, where she was set to perform, according to the New Zealand Herald.

"At her request members involved placed open handcuffs for a photo opportunity," an Australian Federal Police spokesman told the Herald. "It appears the members involved were caught in the moment and standard protocol were breached. It is subject to internal processes."
