One lucky TMZ reporter got quite the treat when Joan Rivers arrived at LAX Thursday afternoon.

Waiting outside for her, the reporter got her into a conversation about the ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine. Rivers seizes the moment to cut loose, comparing the crisis to New Jersey and New York. "Let me just tell you, if New Jersey was firing rockets into New York, we would wipe them out," she said. But Rivers was just getting started with her passionate defense of Israel.

The kicker? The reporter asked Rivers what she thought of some celebrities, including Selena Gomez, tweeting allegedly "pro-Gaza" messages. "Oh, yeah, that college grad, Selena Gomez," Rivers sarcastically replied. "Oh, well, if Selena said that! Let's see if she can spell 'Palestinian.'"
