ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) — Looking none the worse for wear, Paul McCartney is back on a concert stage after a virus took him off the road for two months.

The former Beatles singer made his return in an Albany arena on Saturday, leading his band in a version of the Fab Four's "Eight Days a Week." He made no immediate reference to the virus that briefly hospitalized him in Japan.

The 72-year-old McCartney canceled a tour of Japan and gigs in South Korea and the United States. He last played in Costa Rica on May 1.

He wore black pants and a sky blue blazer. When he took the jacket off four songs in, he joked it would be the evening's only wardrobe change.
