Casey Kasem's Widow to Handle DJ's Burial, Estate

In the wake of Casey Kasem’s death, his wife Jean Kasem will handle his estate and burial plans for the late DJ, a rep for Kasem’s children tells The Hollywood Reporter.

The rep, Danny Deraney, said he had not heard of plans for a funeral or memorial service for the radio host, who died on Sunday.

Jean and Casey’s children had been feuding before the DJ died, with Casey’s daughterKerri Kasem placed in temporary control of his treatment.

In the days prior to Casey’s death, Jean accused Kerri of “killing [her] husband,” by allowing doctors to withhold fluids and food from the ailing radio host.

Meanwhile, Kerri is still planning to file an elder abuse report against Jean, earlier hiring a private investigator to help her in her effort to get Jean arrested.

Casey died Sunday of complications from dementia at St. Anthony Hospital in Gig Harbor, Wash. He was 82.
