How Rude: Alanis Morissette Wasn't Singing About Me, Says 'Full House' Actor

Dave Coulier -- a.k.a. Uncle Joey from "Full House" -- has long been rumored to be the infamous guy Alanis Morissette chews out in her "Jagged Little Pill" anthem "You Oughta Know." But in a recent interview with BuzzFeed the 54-year old actor sets the record straight. He's pretty sure it's not about him.

More Alanis Morissette:

"The guy in that song is a real a-hole, so I don’t want to be that guy," Coulier says. He says he asked Morissette if the song was about him, to which she responded, "Well, you know it could be a bunch of people. But you can say whatever you want."

After getting tired of addressing the issue to the media, he finally slipped up: "One time, I was doing a red carpet somewhere and (the press) just wore me down and everybody wanted to know so I said, 'Yeah, all right, I’m the guy. There I said it.' So then it became a snowball effect of, 'Oh! So you are the guy!'"

In the end, he admits that he has never been drunk enough to sing the song at karaoke.

Coulier dated Morissette in 1992, three years prior to the release of her landmark album "Jagged Little Pill."
