Dorothea Hurley accidentally sliced her hand while cooking and required multiple stitches.

Jon Bon Jovi's wife, Dorothea Hurley, was rushed to New York's Beth Israel Medical Center after accidentally slicing her hand on Saturday, May 31.

Hurely, 51, was cooking in the couple's New York City penthouse when she cut herself. Bon Jovi immediately dialed 911, reports The New York Post.

Police sources say there was "heavy bleeding," and required multiple stitches before she was treated and released. The couple went out for dinner that evening.

In a statement to Billboard, Bon Jovi says he'd like to "thank the EMTs and the doctors at Beth Israel that were terrific, as they normally are."

The couple celebrated 25 years of marriage this past April. Their penthouse is currently on the market for $37.5 million.
