A Day on the Real-Time Charts: Tyga Drops New Single, Ne-Yo Returns to Music

Billboard Twitter Chart

Early this morning (May 28), Tyga dropped his latest single, “Real Deal,” which debuts on the Trending 140 at No. 3 by 1pm and currently resides in the No. 2 position. The Young Money-signed rapper is readying for the debut of what is to be his fourth album, The Gold Album: 18th Dynasty, which is expected to drop later in 2014.

Tyga’s single ousts Lana Del Rey’s song “Ultraviolence,” from the No. 1 spot it held for hours overnight leading into the morning. Two days ago, a video surfaced of her performing the single from her forthcoming album that shares the same name for the first time at the PNE Amphitheatre in Vancouver, BC.

Iggy Azalea had a great day; not only was it announced that “Fancy” is No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, but that she is the first artist since The Beatles to have two debut singles appear at No. 1 and No. 2 on the chart. Thanks to this announcement, Twitter lit up causing “Fancy,” to hit No. 2 for four consecutive hours.

Ne-Yo made a long-awaited return to creating music again two days ago by releasing “Money Can’t Buy” featuring Young Jeezy. Today, Ludacris tweeted his support that caused the track spike at No. 3 by 9am, and fall steadily throughout the day before spiking back to No. 6 (where it currently resides at the time of posting).
