An audience member has reportedly died after stage-diving at metalcore band Miss May I's show in the Studio at New York City's Webster Hall on Saturday, May 3, the same night Against Me! played a sold-out show in the venue's main concert space, the Grand Ballroom. (UPDATE: According to footage and the police, the patron did not die after stage-diving; he collapsed after exiting the venue.)
According to BrooklynVegan, the band posted a holdover statement to their Facebook page the following day until an official one was ready to be released. "Hey everyone," they wrote, "we are aware of the incident that occurred at Webster Hall last night and will be posting a statement shortly. However, we are awaiting further information regarding the situation before we are able to make a full statement."
