Mariah Carey, Ed Sheeran in Lineup for 'Today' Summer Concert Series

Mariah Carey

NBC's "Today" show announced the lineup for its annual "Toyota Concert Series on Today" on Tuesday, with Mariah Carey slated to kick things off May 16 in Rockefeller Plaza. It will mark Carey's sixth concert for the NYC-based morning show and gives the singer a chance to promote her new album, expected to be released in late May.

"Today" stocks the summer concert series with big names across all genres and this year is no different, with Tim McGraw, Jennifer Hudson, Fall Out Boy and Usher all in the mix. Pharrell Williams, whose "Happy" has led the Hot 100 for nine weeks, will make his first-ever visit to the series, now in its 19th season.

The lineup also features planned concerts from Aloe Blacc, Rascal Flatts, Sara Bareilles, Little Mix, OneRepublic, Ariana Grande and Neon Trees. Phillip Phillips, Train and Maroon 5 -- who were all featured during last summer's series -- all return.

The concerts take place on Friday unless noted. More performers will be announced at a later date.
