On Saturday evening (April 5), which marked the 20th anniversary of Kurt Cobain's death, fans in attendance at Lollapalooza Brazil were treated to an excellent cover by Muse of Nirvana's classic 1991 track "Lithium."

"Someone great died 20 years ago -- this next song is for Kurt Cobain," Muse frontman Matthew Bellamy announced during its Lollapalooza in Sao Paulo headlining slot before launching into a crowd sing-along of the unforgettable "Nevermind" song.

The same evening, albeit in a different time zone, St. Vincent, who released a new self-titled album on Feb. 25, also paid tribute to the late Nirvana frontman in Chicago by delivering a true-to-form version of the quiet-to-loud grunge track.

Watch both performances below.
