Willie Nelson and Stevie Ray Vaughan are among the inaugural inductees to the new Austin City Limits Hall of Fame.

As the TV concert series of the same name celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2014, it's creating the hall of fame to honor people who made significant contributions to the lore of "Austin City Limits." The ceremony, held next month, will be held at the series' original home of KLRU Studio 6A in Austin, Texas, Rolling Stone reports.

Nelson and Vaughan will be joined by the latter's backing band Double Trouble, as well as series creator Bill Arhos and former University of Texas football coach Darrell K. Royal. All four inductees have significant ties to the state of Texas in addition to "Austin City Limits."

"'Austin City Limits' has become a unique American institution, in both the worlds of popular music and television," Terry Lickona, ACL's executive producer, said in a statement. "It has such a rich history and legacy that we decided it was time to celebrate and honor the artists and individuals who made it what it is today."

In commemoration, the gala will feature performances from Buddy Guy, Emmylou Harris, Lyle Lovett and more.

Vaughan and Royal will receive their inductions posthumously.

The induction ceremony will take place April 26.
