The group is the first rock band to top the tally since fun. reigned with "We Are Young," featuring Janelle Monae, for five weeks beginning on April 28, 2012. "Demons" previously reached No. 2 on both Adult Alternative and Alternative Songs. It pushes 3-2 this week on Adult Pop Songs.

Eminem had last led the list also with Rihanna via the pair's "Love the Way You Lie," which spent seven weeks on top in 2010. Rihanna had most recently ruled with "Diamonds" (10 weeks, 2012-13).
