The set, which is already out in Canada and Europe via V2, is due Jan. 9 in the States.
"Time Being" was produced by Mitchell Froom and sports contributions from Elvis Costello cohorts Pete Thomas (drums) and Davey Faragher. It comes a year and a half since his last effort, "Destination Unknown" featuring Don Kerr, was released in 2005.
Sexmith will be previewing tracks at a one-off performance on Nov. 30 at the Hotel Cafe in Los Angeles and will embark on a full tour Jan. 8 in Buffalo, N.Y.

New West Records will on Jan. 9 release live CD chronicling "Austin City Limits" appearances by Johnny Cash and Neko Case. These performances were released on DVD last December and Oct. 10, respectively.
Cash's 1987 show, which found him joined by his wife, June Carter Cash, on "Where Did We Go Right" boasts favorites like "Ring of Fire," "Walk the Line," "Folsom Prison Blues" and "Long Black Veil." Case's appearance, taped Aug. 9, 2003, blends originals ("Ghostwriting," "Maybe Sparrow") with covers of Bob Dylan's "Buckets of Rain" and Lisa Marr's "In California."
Next up in New West's "Austin City Limits" series are Guy Clark and Lynyrd Skynyrd, due Jan. 23, and Dave Alvin, expected in February.

Apple has teamed with Air France, Continental, Delta, Emirates, KLM and United to offer iPod-enabled in-flight entertainment.
The six airlines will begin offering passengers iPod seat connections, which power and charge the devices during flight and allow the video content on iPods to be viewed on seat back displays. In-flight connectivity is expected in mid-2007. Apple is working to secure similar deals with other airlines, according to a statement from the company.
