Last week, 16-year-old New Zealander Lorde became the first lead solo female to crown the Alternative Songs chart since Tracy Bonham reigned with "Mother Mother" in June 1996. (Lorde was born that November.)

More honors abound for "Royals" this week: The track enters Pop Songs at No. 39 and dethrones Imagine Dragons' "Radioactive" after a record 24-week command on Rock Airplay, making Lorde the first solo female to top the latter tally as a lead artist in the chart's four-year existence.

"Royals" also takes over atop the adult alternative Triple A chart, rules Alternative Songs for a second week and charges 35-29 in its third week on Adult Pop Songs.
