St. Vincent Heading to 'Gossip Girl,' 'Portlandia'
St. Vincent is heading from the stage to the small screen.
According to Pitchfork, the indie rock act will make an appearance on the CW's "Gossip Girl" on Feb. 13, performing "Strange Mercy" tracks "Cruel and Cheerleader."
The show's previous performers have included Lady Gaga, Florence + the Machine, Robyn, No Doubt and Sonic Youth's Thurston Moore and Kim Gordon -- not bad company.
But singing to Manhattan's most dramatic twentysomethings isn't enough for St. Vincent's Annie Clark, who will also guest-star on IFC's hipster-skewering "Portlandia." The episode will air on Feb. 3. Clark's already shown her support for the show with a tour appearance at "Portlandia" duo Carrie Brownstein and Fred Armisen's Bowery Ballroom stop, where she covered Pearl Jam's "Black."
