Gotye Lands 'Saturday Night Live' Ahead of Spring Tour

Breakout singer/songwriter Gotye has announced his "Saturday Night Live" debut. The Australian multi-instrumentalist will visit SNL on April 14 to perform songs off his recent platinum-selling album "Making Mirrors," currently sitting at number 16 on the Billboard 200.

Gotye has been riding high off his chart-topping single "Somebody That I Used To Know," which led the UK charts this week and climbed from No. 9 to 5 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Recently speaking with, Gotye revealed how he came to work with Kimbra on "Somebody."

"After struggling with what to do with it, it kind of struck me that I needed a different perspective. It should be the other side of the relationship," he said. "I wrote that part and then went about looking for the female vocalist I thought could really give it something edgy"

Gotye kicks off his spring headlining tour this week, on March 22, in Washington DC. The tour runs until April 15 and 22, with Gotye performing at the Coachella Festival in Indio, CA. For full dates, visit Gotye's official website.
