Special Release Via Retailer Will Include Four All-New Tracks

Target will release an exclusive deluxe edition of P!nk's "The Truth About Love" on Sept. 18, featuring four all-new tracks ("My Signature Move," "Is This Thing On?" "Run," and "Good Old Days") available only at Target stores. The album is currently available for pre-order on Target.com.

P!nk Covers Billboard

"I'm really happy that these songs have a home as I would hate to see them not have a chance to be heard," says P!nk, who wrote and recorded over 35 tracks for "Love" with longtime collaborators Max Martin, Shellback, Butch Walker and Billy Mann as well as producers like Greg Kurstin, DJ Khalil and Jeff Bhasker. A few duet partners are added to the mix as well, with fun.'s Nate Ruess ("Just Give Me A Reason"), Lily Rose Cooper a.k.a. Lily Allen ("True Love") and Eminem ("Here Comes The Weekend") all making appearances.

P!nk will also start appearing in TV commercials for Target to promote the deluxe album, as Billboard exclusively previews in the above still from the shoot, snapped by rock photographer Autumn de Wilde. A self-confessed "Tar-jay freak," P!nk told Billboard in August "my entire house looks like Target threw up on it."

The fandom is mutual for John Butcher, Target's VP of entertainment. "We're really excited by her music, our fans are really excited by what P!nk brings to the market and we think this is a foundation for a great relationship."

Target has had 15 exclusive music partnerships to date in 2012, 14 of which had exclusive tracks. Butcher says sales of the exclusive releases are up double-digit year-to-date compared to 2011's roster - a sign that Target can outperform a flagging retail marketplace with the right content. Next up after P!nk is a deluxe edition of No Doubt's "Push and Shove," out Sept. 25, which will feature two acoustic takes on new songs, two remixes and an exclusive studio cover of Adam and the Ants' "Stand and Deliver."

"We have a star-studded back half of the year coming your way," Butcher teased of the fall's remaining releases.
