Foo Fighters Unveil Rip-Roaring 'Rope' Single, 'Wasting Light' Art
One week after announcing the title and tracklist of their seventh studio album, "Wasting Light," the Foo Fighters have unleashed the album's artwork and its first official single, "Rope. " The track features a meaty guitar lick that sounds ripe for "Rock Band," a rip-roaring extended instrumental solo and a few choice "Yow!"s from frontman Dave Grohl. "Give me some rope, I'm coming loose/I'll hang it on you," Grohl growls on the breathless chorus.

"Rope" is currently streaming on the band's website and Facebook page before hitting iTunes next Tuesday (Mar. 1), while "Wasting Light" will be released Apr. 12 on Roswell/RCA. The single will be available as a free download with the iTunes pre-order of "Wasting Light" beginning Mar. 1.
On Feb. 14, the Foos released a video for album track "White Limo" featuring Motorhead's Lemmy Kilmister as a no-nonsense chauffeur, while "Bridge Burning" was also previewed with a 30-second snippet last month.
