Feist Announces First Album in Four Years
Feist's follow-up to her 2007 breakthrough "The Reminder," which included her iTunes ad-featuring hit "1,2,3,4" will arrive Oct. 4 via Cherrytree/Interscope. Titled "Metals," Feist's fourth album is being teased via 12 online vignettes, the first two of which are now available on Feist's site. "The Reminder" sold 729,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan, while "1234" had 1.2 million downloads and peaked at No. 8 on the Hot 100 chart.

Haley Reinhart Signs to Interscope Records
She may not have made it to the finals last season, but fans can expect more to come from Haley Reinhart. The 20-year old singer has inked a deal with Interscope records, the same label to snag ninth place finisher Pia Toscano. She can currently be seen on tour with her fellow Season 10 "Idol"s, heading to Duluth, Georgia on Tuesday, with back-to-back performances in Raleigh and Charlotte, North Carolina to follow. ( THR)

Ben Folds, Bob Saget Duet on Dr. Dre Track
Ben Folds has long been performing his tender cover of Dr. Dre's profane classic "Bitches Aint Shit," but the singer-songwriter added a new element on Thursday (July 21) when comedian and former "Full House" star Bob Saget joined him onstage -- iPhone in hand, to read the few lyrics -- to drop a quick verse at the Wiltern in Los Angeles. DJ Pauly D To Join Britney Spears' Femme Fatale Tour
After opening for Britney Spears at a Las Vegas show earlier this year, DJ Pauly D (of "Jersey Shore" fame) will join the pop princess for six dates on her ongoing Femme Fatale tour. The DJ will kick off his stint on the trek on Aug. 17 in Grand Rapids, Mich. ( MTV)

Michael Jackson Trial Won't Feature Rehearsal Footage
Jurors in the Michael Jackson manslaughter case will not watch previously unseen footage from the singer's final rehearsals to determine the state of his health before his death, a judge ruled Monday. Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor agreed with the characterization of a defense attorney for Dr. Conrad Murray that more than 100 hours of rehearsal footage condensed into the film "This Is It" did not show the singer in poor health. Lady Gaga Producer White Shadow Announces New Album
White Shadow, who produced nine tracks on Lady Gaga's latest album "Born This Way," will release an EP of original music on Aug. 1. "I'm Killing Me" features six tracks and will be available for free at the producer's official website. (
