'Twilight: Breaking Dawn' Soundtrack: Bruno Mars, Christina Perri, Theophilus London Contribute

Album Review: 'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1' Soundtrack

Bruno Mars, Christina Perri, the Joy Formidable and Theophilus London are the latest artists to soundtrack the saga of Bella and Edward by contributing song to the "Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 1" original soundtrack, whose full track list and artwork were revealed on Twitter on Monday (Sept. 26). The album, which will be released through Summit/Chop Shop/Atlantic, will hit stores Nov. 8.

Among the notable songs on the fourth "Twilight" soundtrack are "Cold," a collaboration between singer-songwriters Aqualung and Lucy Schwartz; "Llovera," a song from actress Mia Maestro, who plays Carmen of the Denali Coven in the film; and "Flightless Bird, American Mouth (Wedding Version)," a reprise of an Iron & Wine song that was featured on the original "Twilight" soundtrack. The "Breaking Dawn Part 1" album is the first "Twilight" soundtrack that does not feature a song by Muse.

Meanwhile, Mars' "It Will Rain," the album's lead single, is set to be released on Tuesday. Last week, Mars -- who is the only artist on a "Twilight" soundtrack to have scored a No. 1 single on the Hot 100 -- told Billboard that he had been working on the song before receiving an offer to contribute to the soundtrack. "After seeing the movie, I thought that it would be a perfect fit," he says.

The first two "Twilight" soundtracks hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200, while the third, "Eclipse," reached No. 2 last year. Collectively, they have shifted 4.5 million in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan.
