2007 – Singer-songwriter Bobby “Boris” Pickett dies from leukemia in Los Angeles at the age of 69.

2002 – Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes of TLC is killed in a car crash in Honduras. Lopes is 30.

2000 – Eric Clapton is reunited with his former Derek & the Dominos keyboard player Bobby Whitlock for their first performance together in 29 years. The setting is the London-based BBC TV series “Later With Jools Holland.”

1999 – Larry Troutman of Zapp, age 54, commits suicide after killing brother and bandmate Roger Troutman, age 47, in Dayton, Ohio.

1994 – The reunited Eagles perform at Warner Burbank Studios for an MTV special aired later in the year. This marks the first time since 1980 that members Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmidt perform together.
