"Chester has a one-of-a-kind voice that we've admired for a long time," says STP guitarist Dean DeLeo.
With Scott Weiland newly ousted from Stone Temple Pilots, the long-running alternative rock outfit has brought in Linkin Park's Chester Bennington as its new vocalist.
On Saturday (May 18), the group performed a 40-minute surprise set at KROQ's annual Weenie Roast, with Bennington on board as the group's frontman. The band performed hits like "Vaseline" and "Sex Type Thing," and premiered "Out Of Time," the group's debut collaboration with Bennington and first stab at new material since 2010's "Stone Temple Pilots." The recorded version of "Out Of Time" premiered shortly after on KROQ, and is now being offered as a free download.
