Debut Album Completed, First Single To Drop

"American Idol" fans can expect new material from Jessica Sanchez soon. Billboard recently caught up with the Season 11 runner-up, who revealed that her debut album is completed and can be expected sometime this spring and that its first single arrives next month.
I'm so ready for everyone to hear it!" Sanchez told Billboard about the song at a recent "Idol" event in Los Angeles. "It's going to be dancey and something that I could definitely see being remixed and in the clubs." The 'Idol' alum says that her record, on which she worked with Harvey Mason and Toby Gad, will feature ballads but will exhibit "more of an R&B/Pop/Urban kind of feel."
"It's a big mesh of stuff. It's completely Jessica Sanchez."
Sanchez also confirmed that Ne-Yo will be featured on one of her new tracks. "He was writing a song when I was in the studio and it took him about 40 minutes to write it. I'm actually doing that song with him and it's going to be on the album." She explained that collaborating with Ne-Yo was a life altering experience. "I love him so much and I can't believe that I got that opportunity to work with him. It's crazy!"
In addition to Ne-Yo, Sanchez mentioned several artists that she would like to work with in the future. "I flew to The Philippines and ( Black Eyed Peas) and I did a music video together for 'Jump In.' That went really well. He's very talented and I can't wait to work with him again. There's definitely some talk but we'll see what happens."

She also divulged that her dream collaborator would be Eminem. "I would love to work with Eminem one day. He's amazing."
In addition to gearing up to release her album, Sanchez is busy prepping to star on several upcoming episodes of "Glee." "I'm taking acting classes right now to prepare for it. I can't wait to get on the show and see how I do and see how everybody reacts to it." Although she hasn't seen the script yet, Sanchez is anxious to begin filming. "I have no idea what my character will be like. It's exciting!"
Sanchez is currently rehearsing for her first solo concert, which will take place on Feb. 14 in The Philippines. Her fellow season 11 co-star, Colton Dixon, is also on the bill.
