Dear Keith,

My question is about Tori Amos' album sales. The one-year anniversary of her latest release, "American Doll Posse," just passed and I'm curious as to how it has sold throughout the past year, even though its sales will certainly pale in comparison to her more successful early albums.

Also, can you give the latest sales figures for her albums, EPs and the 2006 box set "A Piano: The Collection?"

Hi Rahdne,

So far, since its release on May 1, 2007, "American Doll Posse" has sold 152,000 in the U.S. according to Nielsen SoundScan.

Did we cover everything?

Hi Keith,

I have been a huge fan and long time supporter of Britney Spears and have enjoyed following her career for the past decade. Since she has been keeping a somewhat low profile as of late, I was wondering how the sales of her latest album "Blackout" were doing. I feel like it should be closing in on the one million mark.

Also it would be great to know her sales figures for her past studio albums as well.

Hi Tim,

I assume you'll be glued to CBS' "How I Met Your Mother" on May 12 to see Spears return for a second episode of the comedy series?

So far, "Blackout" has sold 842,000 in the U.S. according to Nielsen SoundScan. It debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 the week it was released, back in October.

Collectively, her six full-length album releases (five studio sets and a greatest hits package) have sold 29.1 million in the U.S.

'Sparkling' Sales

Hi Keith,

Good to see Def Leppard's new album "Songs from the Sparkle Lounge" enter the Billboard 200 this week at No. 5 (their highest position since "Adrenalize" hit No. 1 in 1992!). I've been wondering how much their older albums have scanned since SoundScan began in 1991.

I'm especially curious about their two masterpieces, "Pyromania" and "Hysteria," both Diamond-certified by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), and likely healthy catalog sellers. But a career overview to show ups and downs should be interesting.

Thanks in advance,

Thomas Christiansen

Hi Thomas,

"Songs From the Sparkle Lounge" bowed at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 with 55,000 sold in its first week.

Since 1991, "Hysteria" has sold 2.5 million while "Pyromania" has moved 1.4 million.

No surprise - the band's biggest seller since 1991 is 1995's "Vault - Greatest Hits 1980-1995," which 4.6 million sold.

In fact, "Vault" is the band's last album to sell at least a million in the U.S.
