An eclectic group of international artists combined for an innovative remix album for Swedish pop star Lisa Miskovsky's theme track to spark Electronic Arts' highly anticipated "Mirror's Edge" video game, in stores this week.

Created in EA's DICE Studio as a digital release on the EA Recordings (E.A.R.S) label, the "Mirror's Edge Remix Album" features the original version of Miskovsky's "Still Alive" game theme track, plus remixes by Benny Benassi, Paul van Dyk, Junkie XL, Teddybears and Armand Van Helden.

Recorded exclusively for the game, "Still Alive" was written and produced by Rami Yacoub and Arnthor Birgisson, best known for their chart-topping work with Pink, Britney Spears, Danity Kane and Kelis. The track was nominated for best original song for a video game by the Hollywood Music Awards.

All gamers who pre-ordered the Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 game at Best Buy got a CD with the theme track and one of the remixes. The album was digitally released worldwide Nov. 11 simultaneous with the game.

"This is not only a groundbreaking game," Miskovsky tells Billboard, "but an unprecedented opportunity for me to collaborate with writers and remixers I've admired for years. Working with Rami and Arnthor was a great experience, and I'm blown away by the individual visions of each of the remixers."

Coordinated promotion for the game includes a Miskovsky video for the track recently shot in downtown Los Angeles. It was directed by Scrambled Visual, whose credits include videos for the Rolling Stones, the Killers and Sting.

Miskovsky earned international acclaim for her 2001 self-titled debut album and its 2003 follow-up "Fallwater," whose lead single "Lady Stardust" spent nine consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Swedish Music Control Chart and reached No. 1 on the influential National Radio P3 Tracks Chart.
