A$AP Rocky, ‘Wild For The Night’ Fashion Breakdown: 5 Things That Had to be Mentioned
Rocky is rap's style maven of the moment and shows why in his new video.
We already know that A$AP Rocky is as well versed in the fashion game as he is in the rap world. Last night the Harlem-born rapper released his newest video, "Wild For The Night,” shot in the Dominican Republic by director Chris Robinson. Naturally, it spotlights his swag-chic style. Check out our breakdown of the new vid filled with killer fashions, gold teeth and Skrillex, who produced the beat.
Kickin’ It Old School
Rocky’s spotted chilling with some friends in a smooth ‘90s grunge look complete with a DKNY x Opening Ceremony exclusive white shirt and black vest. The singer added some swag to his throwback look with a pair of Timberland boots and a backwards white cap.
He’s Ready for Spring
If any rapper can rock floral on floral, it’s Rocky. He brings his unique masculine swagger to the flowery look of an orange bird from the Balenciaga Spring 2013 line and matching bomber jacket paired with white shorts, matching white shoes and a umber orange Goyard satchel. Now for our favorite item of the look, the ‘80s gold round frame vintage Jean Paul Gaultier specs.
Skrillex makes a cool cameo in the video rocking his signature black-dipped ensemble complete with a pair of his angular black shades. The producer breaks it down on Rocky’s infectious beat.
The Traditional Hip-hop Uniform
Rocky rocks traditional hip-hop garb in an unconventional way: DKNY x Opening Ceremony black and white sweatshirt paired with black mesh Pyrex Vision gym shorts worn over second skin white leggings and matching Nike kicks. Check out those legs!
Airborne, Simple and Chic
Still rocking the vintage Jean Paul Gaultier frames, Rocky goes for the retro ‘50s greaser look in a simple white t-shirt and jeans as he leaps into the sky with Skrillex. We love seeing Rocky, a true fashion fanatic, in this casual and cool look.
