Logic Gives an Empowering Performance of '1-800-273-8255' With Alessia Cara & Khalid at 2017 VMAs

After notching his first No. 1 album with Everybody earlier this year, Logic has been using his new-found popularity to sprinkle positivity onto the world. On Sunday (Aug. 25), he brought his newly-crowned top 40 Billboard Hot 100 single "1-800-273-8255" to the 2017 VMAs with Alessia Cara and Khalid

The DMV upstart provided an empowering performance for his heart-warming single, which also doubles as the National Suicide Prevention Hotline. Backed by a small orchestra, Logic was accompanied by a bevy of suicide survivors who wore t-shirts that displayed the suicide hotline number on the front and an inspirational message on the back that read, "You are not alone."

The heart-wrenching set even caused one of the survivors to break down and cry. "I don’t give a damn if you’re black white or anything in between. We’re all born equal, but we’re treated unequal," Logic said after his emotional performance.
