Future Performs 'Commas' at 2016 VMAs
Earlier this year, Kanye West criticized the Grammys on a number of counts, including their failure to have Future perform: "That man owned the clubs last summer." Well, the 2016 VMAs picked up the memo.
Future was out at Madison Square Garden to perform the clean version of his old standby "F-ck Up Some Commas," looking to breathe some new life into his old standby. He got a boost from Michael Phelps, who introduced the segment by revealing his massive Future fandom. "I was in the zone with Future’s 'Stick Talk' blaring in my headphones," the Olympic swimmer said, remarking on the widely-memed image of him preparing to compete in Brazil this summer.
Phelps left the stage and left matters to Future, who rocked through "Commas," backed by guitars and drums to go with his hype crew. For the Atlanta artist, it was a little break from the Summer Sixteen tour alongside Drake.
