South By Southwest provided a coming-out party of sorts for the Amazon Prime Video series Patriot on Monday night (March 13).

As part of the company’s Resistance Radio Headquarters installation in Austin, the political comedy series’ star Michael Dorman -- whose John Tavner is a lethal government intelligent officer by day, troubadour at night -- played songs from the series for the first time ever in public, performing an understated six-song set and backed by a string trio on three of the numbers.

Series creator Steve Conrad was on hand to introduce Dorman, while co-star Michael Chernus, who plays Tavner’s brother Edward, playfully stopped Dorman from playing one of the songs, recreating a scene from the series. Series composer Alex Wurman performed later in the evening.

Patriot’s first 10 episodes were released last month, along with a soundtrack EP featuring seven of the songs Dorman performed on the show.
