Lady Gaga Rules Social Media After Oscars Triumph: See The Tweets

The 2019 Academy Awards are in the history books, though armchair viewers are just getting started with their analysis of the best and brightest moments.

The night on social media belonged to Lady Gaga, who snagged her first Oscar for best original song and produced one of the evening’s magical moments with a performance of “Shallow” alongside fellow A Star Is Born lead Bradley Cooper. Throughout the event and well after it wrapped, social media lit up as fans paid tribute to Mother Monster in the most appropriate way…with memes. Check out some of the reaction below.

Also trending big on social media was Bohemian Rhapsody and its lead, Rami Malek, who took out best male actor for his portrayal of the late Queen frontman Freddie Mercury. Malek thanked the surviving members of the band and spoke to those "struggling with identity," noting, "we made a film about a gay man and an immigrant who was unapologetically himself."
