Watch Andra Day & Common's Powerful Performance of 'Stand Up for Something' at the 2018 Oscars

On Sunday night (March 4), Common and Andra Day proved to be a formidable duo once again after teaming up for their collaboration "Stand Up for Something" at the 2018 Oscars.

Before diving into their standout record from the Chadwick Boseman-led film Marshall, Common unleashed a poignant freestyle. "Tell the NRA, they're in God's way," the Chicago lyricist rapped before shouting out Haiti and Puerto Rico. Afterwards, 10 different activists were spotlighted on stage for their everyday efforts in trying to help change the world, including 14-year-old Alice Brown Otter, who recently protested the construction of the Dakota Access Pipeline.

"We stand up for the dreamers, we stand up for the immigrants," Common said while Day belted the soulful hook. Watch "Show Up for Something" above.
