After bringing La La Land to life on the Oscars stage Sunday night, John Legend officially released his medley of "City of Stars" and "Audition (The Fools Who Dream)."

Although Legend was the one playing the piano during his Oscars performance, the recorded version features keys played by La La Land‚Äč's composer Justin Hurwitz -- who took home the golden statue for best score. "City of Stars" also won the Oscar for best original song, which was awarded to Hurwitz as well as lyricists Benj Pasek and Justin Paul.

La La Land ended up winning six of the 14 categories for which it was nominated -- almost winning seven before the biggest snafu of the night (perhaps in Oscars history) when the film's producers revealed that the best picture Oscar actually belonged to Moonlight. That mystery has yet to be fully solved, but for now, Legend's smooth vocals can help us forget that ever even happened.
