Prince Royce, who won four awards at the 2014 Billboard Latin Music Awards, was in high spirits on the red carpet, speaking about his forthcoming English-language pop album.
"I'm working on my first pop and english album," Royce said, noting that he'll be going on tour in August. "We're definitely looking forward to releasing new music this summer (or) by the end of the year."
Royce noted, however, that we won't abandon the bachata musical style. "For me, it's trying something new, but never leaving latin music," he says. "It's going to be a fusion of tropical, pop, urban, english and Spanish. I hope to be singing bachata and latin music for a long time -- if the audience lets me."
At the Billboard Latin Music Award on April 24, Royce won in the categories for Hot Latin Songs Artist of the Year (Male), Streaming Song of the Year, Latin Pop Songs Artist of the Year (Solo) and Tropical Songs Artist of the Year (Solo).
