10 Things to Catch at Billboard Hot 100 Fest: Ariana Grande, Calvin Harris & More!

J Cole, Martin Garrix, Calvin Harris, Ariana Grande, Fetty Wap and more to perform at Billboard's 2016 Hot 100 Music Festival

Last year we brought you Justin Bieber’s return to the stage. And Nicki Minaj. And Skrillex! This weekend, Billboard’s Hot 100 Music Festival is back for round two at the Grounds at Nikon Jones Beach Theater in Long Island, New York.

On Saturday and Sunday (Aug. 20 and 21), the fest’s second annual running is giving fans of pop, hop-hop, dance and more a golden opportunity to see plenty of their favorite artists all in one place -- across three stages, of course. Highlights include Calvin Harris, Ariana Grande, J. Cole, Fetty Wap and Martin Garrix. And guess what? Tickets are still available. Head over here to get yours, and check out these 10 great reasons to come out to the fest.

Billboard Hot 100 Festival Releases Set Times & Stage Map

1. Fetty Wap Is Back!

Fetty is playing the show for the second straight year, and we wouldn’t have him back just because. In 2015, he was just hitting the charts with “Trap Queen,” and we had him on one of the side stages. Naturally, the demand was tremendous. This year, he’s gracing the main stage -- the Hot 100 Stage -- inside the amphitheater grounds for all to see. On Saturday evening, watch Fetty play plenty of tracks from his 2015 album My Way, in addition to singles he’s dropped this year like “Again” and “Wake Up.”

2. What’s Calvin Got Cookin’?

Calvin Harris has been teasing and sharing new music over the past several months. Could we get a taste of the follow-up to his 2014 studio album, Motion? There’s a good chance. The year’s top-earning DJ is closing out the Hot 100 stage on Sunday night and with big-time festival sets like Coachella already under his belt this year, it’s sure to be a masterful performance.

3. Fight Alongside Rachel Platten

It’s been out since before last year’s Hot 100 Fest, but “Fight Song” is having a big summer. Platten’s breakthrough hit has been used prominently in Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign and you’re going to want to share in the moment, along with other songs like her follow-up hit “Stand by You.”

4. Ariana Grande Headlines Saturday Night

Let’s hear it for Ariana Grande -- recent Billboard cover star and golden voice behind three hit-filled albums. This year, she delivered Dangerous Woman, featuring hits like the title track and “Into You.” Head out to the Hot 100 Stage on Saturday night to watch her close the evening out with those songs, alongside hits like “Love Me Harder” and “Break Free.”

5. Live That SremmLife

Rae Sremmurd grew up some on their new album SremmLife 2, which dropped back on Aug. 12. Still, it’s bound to get the party started alongside old hits like "No Flex Zone" and “Come Get Her.” Come out and see for yourself -- the brothers are playing the Sun Stage Saturday night at 9 p.m.

6. See “Panda” Live

Psst -- you might want to show up for Desiigner’s set early. The 19-year-old artist behind “Panda” and “Tiimmy Turner” is playing the W Hotels Next Up Stage Sunday evening at 10, and he’s sure to draw a crowd. Alongside those hits, watch for tracks from his recent mixtape New English, released with help from Kanye West’s GOOD Music.

7. The Latest Masked DJ…

Watch out for mysterious DJ Marshmello on the Sun Stage on Sunday night at 8:45. He’s been onto something lately -- dropping the strong single “Alone” (listen below) and bringing out Skrillex, Martin Garrix and Jauz at EDC this year. Think he’ll welcome some special guests this weekend? Just make sure it’s really him and not Tiësto…

8. Rock With Sleigh Bells

There isn’t a lot of alternative rock at Hot 100 Fest, but we think the noisy duo Sleigh Bells fit in nicely amongst all the raucous EDM and hip-hop. The speaker-shattering sounds of singer Alexis Krauss and guitarist Derek Miller should bring old favorites like “Rill Rill” to their 6:45 p.m. Saturday set, alongside new songs like “Rule Number One” and “Hyper Dark” they’ve released this year.

9. Party With J. Cole

At this point, J. Cole needs no introduction. The mixtape star-turned-platinum selling hip-hop artist can rock a great show, backed by his fanatically devoted fanbase. Catch him at 7:45 p.m. Sunday night on the Hot 100 Stage.

10. Your Summer's Almost Over!

Seriously… you’re almost going back to school. Labor Day Weekend is just two weekends away. How are you going to send off your summer with a bang? Grab a bunch of friends, and head out to Jones Beach, where you can catch a bunch of tour favorite artists on a summer night in the ocean air. You’ll be glad you did.
