Nathan Sykes & Skylar Grey Added to Billboard Hot 100 Festival Lineup
The joint program between Billboard and Sour Patch Kids highlights anticipated breakthrough acts and integrates musicians with like-minded creatives.
“Billboard is committed to supporting Sour Patch Kids incredible work showcasing emerging musicians,” said John Amato, co-president of The Hollywood Reporter-Billboard Media Group. “With this partnership, we’re not only giving the musicians the chance to perform at one of the most important musical events of the year, but we’re also offering fans a glimpse at two of music’s hottest new acts.”
Billboard will also document the experiences of Sykes’ and Grey’s travels on the road leading up to their performances at the Hot 100 fest. The exclusive behind-the-scenes content will include the two artists' stay at the #BrooklynPatch.
“The Patch is thrilled to continue to partner with Billboard on this festival and to provide these musicians with the opportunity to share the stage with chart-topping artists,” said Farrah Bezner, Head of New Business Ventures at Mondelēz International. “Life on the road can be tough, especially for artists on the rise, so we’re helping out not only by giving them an inspiring place to stay, but also by amplifying their voice online and onstage.”
The 2016 Hot 100 Festival is scheduled for August 20 & 21 in Jones Beach, NY. The festival -- hosted by Billboard in partnership with Live Nation -- will include performances by Ariana Grande, Calvin Harris, J. Cole, Fetty Wap, Martin Garrix and more.
