Billboard has added a new panel to this year's Live Music Summit: "The New VIP – How Record Demand Is Shaping Fan Experiences."
The New VIP will look at how artists and touring shows race to meet new fan demands for access, experiences and meet-and-greets as ticket prices continue to rise, up nearly 12% this year. The panel will include representatives from major brands, including American Express which has been aggressively testing new technologies, packages and pricing tiers to learn what the music superfan wants and expects from today’s ticket price
“As consumer demand continues to reach record heights, artists and promoters are packaging their tours with more exclusive experiences than ever before to deliver a return on fan investment,” says panelist Joe Killian, founder of entertainment marketing agency Killian + Company. “New technologies and innovative brands are helping to redefine the VIP ticket, from sharing the stage with the Jonas Brothers to dynamic pricing for the mega-fan.”
