AXS TV and AEG have announced a partnership that will see the former broadcasting footage from festivals owned and thrown by the latter. The partnership will begin in April 2015, when AXS will broadcast from the second weekend of Coachella (April 17-19), as they did earlier this year.

Other coverage will include Stagecoach (April 24-26), Jazzfest (May 1-3), Rock on the Range (May 15-17) and Firefly (June 19-21). AXS TV says that the festival coverage will amount to over 70 hours of content.

"AXS TV is committed to delivering the best in live music, and we’re proud to continue that legacy with this groundbreaking lineup," said AXS TV founder Mark Cuban in a statement. “Nothing compares to a live music event, and now our audience will get a front-row seat to five incredible festivals, as we bring the ultimate concert experience to our viewers."

The deal is similar to a partnership, still ongoing, that Live Nation and Yahoo announced earlier this year wherein Yahoo streams a concert a day promoted by Live Nation.

“Five years ago it cost you $3 million to shoot an HBO special, and you couldn’t scale it. Now with the cost of production coming down, you can shoot very efficiently," Live Nation CEO Michael Rapino said at the time.
