Issues specific to women in the live entertainment industry will be addressed a special forum to be held at the Billboard Touring Conference on Nov. 10. The session closes the 13th annual Billboard Touring Conference & Awards, set for Nov. 9-10 at the SLS Beverly Hills in Los Angeles.

Titled simply "Women In Touring," this first-ever forum for the Billboard Touring Conference will be set up as a "town hall”-styled discussion featuring prominent female players in the live entertainment industry. This forum is designed as a candid discussion of the specific challenges and opportunities faced by women in this demanding and ever-evolving profession marked by long hours, late nights, and what has historically been a male-dominated culture.

Leading the conversation will be Corrie Christopher Martin, Paradigm Talent; Michele Bernstein, William Morris Endeavor Entertainment; Christen Greene, Onto Entertainment; Jackie Nalpant, Paradigm Talent; Lenore Kinder, AEG Live; and Lesley Olenik, Goldenvoice.

"As we find ourselves on the cusp of potentially electing the first female to the highest office in the world, it is important that we are setting examples for future leaders in the music business, as well," says Martin. "The Women in Touring panel will work to shine a light on the path that these women have taken to achieve what they have and to encourage an open dialogue about breaking down gender barriers moving forward. Additionally, there will be pant suits."
