Quavo Talks Solo Album, Cardi B & Offset's Baby, More at the 2018 AMAs: Watch

Quavo caught up with Billboard’s Chelsea Briggs on the red carpet at the 2018 American Music Awards on Tuesday (Oct. 9), discussing his debut solo album, Migos fans and being an uncle to Cardi B and Offset’s baby.

Speaking of Quavo Huncho, his debut solo LP that is dropping this Friday, Quavo tells Billboard, “It’s a blessing. I’ve got a lot artists, a lot of producers, and I just put a lot of sauce and drip on it, so be ready.”

Asked why now is the time for him to work on a solo project, the rapper says that he and the rest of the members of Migos want to each express themselves through full projects.

“It’s like we’re all painting a different picture, and we all hear different sounds and see different pictures and got different visions,” he explains, “So we all just get a chance to get that off on this album and we’ll be back for Culture III.”

Briggs then asked Quavo what it is about Migos’ music that he thinks resonates so well with their fans, to which he replies that their fans move them as a band, and vice versa. “Our relationship with our fans just goes so good with dropping hits and dropping new music and being the trendsetters,” he adds. “It’s like they wait on us to make the next move.”

Quavo also chats about being an uncle to Cardi B and Offset’s baby Kulture, stating, “She with the fam…We all love each other.” He also notes that they will all be celebrating Thanksgiving together this year and reveals that he’ll be bringing the mac and cheese -- and the stir fry.
